Poland's first Scientific Station of the Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences has been opened in Katowice. The researchers will first undertake to compile the history of Silesia - as announced during a press conference.
The film "The Island of Lords" won the coveted ARKEOLAN award for "the most interesting presentation of the results of archaeological research". Laurel was awarded by the jury of the 13th International Archaeological Film Festival of the Bidasoa, held on 25-30 November in Basque Irun in Spain, told PAP Jakub Dzionek of the Museum of the First Piasts at Lednica.

The invention was developed by the team of Prof. Sławomir Kurpaska of the University of Agriculture in Kraków.
